This washed process coffee hails from the North Kivu region of Congo from a women's coop. By highlighting their coffee and way of life, the coop has refused to tolerate the violence and civil unrest of the region. In building sustainable farming communities, they provide others with the option to create stable lives for themselves through growing coffee instead of joining the armed forces.
